Ok I have decided to take on a new challenge...I am now a Tastefully Simple consultant. So if anyone out there wants to book a party for friends/fam/neighbors, etc. please let me know. The new fall line is coming out with some tasty items. My "launch" party will be Friday Sept 26th at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited and you can always bring a friend. Husbands and kids are welcome too. After we get done sampling great food we will have a bon voyage party...since we leave for Hawaii only 6 days later! Sweet!

Before & After Grandpa's Garden...

Wed. Aug 13th was my mom's b'day. Happy Belated B'day post mom! Lana, the kids, and I went to her work to say hello and give her b'day wishes. Then we all went to my dad's house and Evan and Brayden got to pick lots of veggies...like corn, tomotoes, onions, potatoes, and cucumbers. The first pic is of my dad's corn stalks and they are huge! The boys had a fantastic time!

This is them after! Thanks dad!

Daddy #3...

Now if that does not remind you of J then I don't know what will.....B climbed up on the chair all by himself and picked up the remote and then became mesmerized by the TV when he got it on.

The Apel's "Backyard" Bash...

Saturday evening we went over to our friends The Apels house for their annual "backyard" bash. Although, we were not able to utilize the backyard much due to the rain we totally destoyed their basement. It was truly entertaining to see all the kids together. Thanks Jill and Dave for a great evening.

Art time..

Friday was a busy day....we also did art at home. Evan loves to paint! Brayden liked to eat the crayons! Hopefully it's a phase.

After all the walks, butterfly releasing, and art we went to the movie in the park night with a group of our friends. See http://thecervonecentinal.com for pics. I love the one they posted! Alvin and the Chipmunks was playing. The kids did great! I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Friday night! Thanks everyone for attending.

Kayla's Best Side...

Kayla update... she is doing well. We all went to the school today to play...even Kayla. Still overweight. Still lazy. Still Kayla!

Set us free...

I got Evan a butterfly kit from English Gardens. We sent away for the caterpillars and then watched them eat & grow. They started to hang upside down from the top of the jar and built their chrysalides. "7-10 days" later just like they said we had three painted lady butterflies. A few days after that the two stragglers hatched and we had five painted lady butterflies. Evan made the sugar/water mixture to feed the butterflies and dropped it in on fresh cut flowers. Friday we decided to let them go. We had a little free the butterflies ceremony and it was cool to watch them "leave the nest." All of them survived thankfully and Evan did a good job taking care of them.

P & P Tour

Last night a group of us went to see Kenny Chesney in concert at Ford Field. Jen, Earl, J and I went down early. We left the house at 11am to pre-party at the "beach bash." We had a great time! Kim, Eric, Greg, and Tracey joined up with us later. There was a mechanical bull at one of the bars......Kim, Tracey, Eric, and I all took a turn.....Eric rode the longest! Congrats! Of course he had no liquor in him which I am sure helped...plus he has legs that are three miles long. I think it was 35 seconds....IMPRESSIVE! (Congrats to you Kimmy too :) ). The music was great. The showmanship was outstanding and the company was even better. Thank you all for going. It was a wonderful evening. Eric drove us all home in Greg's minivan. J had climbed in the trunk because we were one seat short and I told him to get out so he opened the hatch and climbed out right into the bush all the guys had just peed on! Let's just say Greg and a few others gave him a hard time and he was not a happy camper. Poor pee-pee boy! He took a shower as soon as we got home and his clothes are being washed as I type. All in all it was an OUTSTANDING night! Let's do it again next year!

Bare Buns!

Wednesday Ev, Brayden, and I were out on the swingset playing. The lawn sprinklers were on in the back corner of the yards....so no big deal. Then the sone switched and we started getting a few sprinkels here and there. Then they switched again and we were getting wet, but still no big deal...it was hot and the kids didn't mind. Evan went up to the tallest fort and was up there for awhile. I figured he didn't want to get wet, right? NO....he came down the tube slide butt NAKED and said he wanted to run through the sprinklers! I was so shocked. I made him climb back up the tube slide and put his shorts on. I hope my neighbors weren't watching!
